Description
A hybrid (solid-state with a DM70 magic eye indicator valve) portable battery-mains recorder with a maximum reel size of 5¾” and a single tape speed of 3¾ ips. Controls consisted of a combined on-off switch and volume control, Walter’s standard 5-position joystick-type control lever for transport functions, instant stop/start control, tone control/record monitor control, and a safety record lever to prevent accidental erasure. A single combined record/play head was employed along with a permanent magnet erase system.
