Additional Details

Description

A very cheap machine aimed
at the non-discerning ‘family’ market, the Sabre II utilised a BSR tape-deck
coupled with Wyndsor’s electronics.

As the name suggests, this was a half-track mono (I’m not sure if there
ever was a quarter-track Sabre IV) with a single speed of 3¾ ips
and a 5¾ inch spool capability.
Price when new was £25 4s.

Additional Info

Audio output power: 2.5 watts / Rewind speed: 3½  minutes for 850ft / Dimensions: 15 x 13¾ x 7″ (381 x 348 x 178 mm) / Weight: 18½ lbs (8.4 kg) / half-track mono
