Description
The Austrian-made Stella St 459 was an all transistor, four speed recorder
with a “stereo” output socket for the reproduction of pre-recorded
stereo tapes through an external preamplifier.
Other features included “duo-play” and “multi-play”,
mixing of inputs, pause button, connection for foot switch, recording
level meter and auto- stop at the end of the tape when in record, playback,
fast wind or fast rewind position.
The 2.5 watt amplifier could be used in ‘straight-through’ mode.
Price when new (in the UK) was £65 2s.
