Described in Shaak-Allied’s 1974 Hi-Fi catalog as “..the most popular reel-to-reel tape deck ever built for the home. The result of 20 years of experience and refinement..” The 2300S was a three-motor, three-head, single direction deck that featured mic/line mixing, touch-button solenoid control with logic circuitry, and remote control capability. Tape speeds were 3¾ and 7½ ips and the maximum reel size was 7″. Price in 1974 (US)$499.50.
