Teac Reel to Reel Tape Recorders

Company Description

Teac produced reel to reel tape recorders from 1963 to 1987 which were manufactured in Japan. These tape recorders targeted the semi-pro, consumer and studio market. Teac tape recorders used solid state electronics. The company produced both 2 and 4 track machines available in 110-120v, 100v Japan, 220-240v & Multi voltages.

There seems to be a fair bit of duplication on the Teac history story and it seemed best at this point to put forth a variety of links to some of the better efforts to capture the interesting story. Perhaps we will build out a more definitive history, when more unique information becomes available.
