Teac Reel to Reel Tape Recorders

Company Description

Teac produced reel to reel tape recorders from 1963 to 1992 which were manufactured in Japan. These tape recorders targeted the studio, semi-pro and consumer market. Teac tape recorders used solid state electronics. The company produced both 2 and 4 track machines available in 110-120v, 220-240v, Multi & 100v Japan voltages.

There seems to be a fair bit of duplication on the Teac history story and it seemed best at this point to put forth a variety of links to some of the better efforts to capture the interesting story. Perhaps we will build out a more definitive history, when more unique information becomes available.
