Description

The Teac A-4000 is the transport section only of the Teac A-4010. Recording in one direction with a 4th playback head for the reverse direction.

The A-4000 when combined with the separate recording preamplifier RA-40 became an A-4010. The  A-4000 could be used with separate tape head preamplifier for better quality sound.
