Description
A stereo
4 track recorder with 3 speeds (1
, 3¾ and 7½ ips), three heads and three motors with a maximum
reel size of 7″ (see also the almost identical N4506
model)..
Dynamic Noise Limiting (DNL) was incorporated, which
was single-ended (playback only) and in no way comparable to the more
expensive Dolby NR system.
The unit had built-in speakers and amplifiers for playback.
Beneath the VU meters is an elaborate control panel with 12 knobs: Left
and right Line output levels, L & R Mon output, L & R Line in
, Aux in, Tuner in and 2 Phono.
