Description
The Stereo 77 was a mono recorder with stereo playback capabilities (for replaying pre-recorded stereo tapes). It had two speeds – 3¾ and 7½ ips. In line with all Ferrographs of the day, it could handle reels of up to 8¼ inches diameter.
The Model 88 was identical except that it could record AND play in stereo and had speeds of 7½ and 15ips.
Both machines were decks only, with no internal power amplifiers or speakers. They were priced at £103 and £110 respectively.
