Nippon Phonogram Co., Ltd. Of Tokyo were responsible for the making of the Philips tapes in Japan. Phillips had a 40% stake in the company with the balance going between Matsushita and Victor. They distributed a lot of sub- labels of Philips LPs in Japan.
