Description

Philips described this unit in their 1968 catalogue as ‘..one of the
most advanced tape recorders available..’
I’d tend to question this, however the EL 3575 was an attractive, 3-speed
quarter-track recorder with a 2.5 watt per channel output and a 7″
reel capacity. Two speakers were contained, a 7″ x 5″ elliptical
in the case and a 4″ round speaker in the lid.
The circuitry was mostly solid state but the (single) record level indicator
was a ‘magic ribbon EM 84 valve.
Other features included ‘Multiplay’, Duo-play, input mixing and end-of-tape
auto-stop.
