Description

Featured in the 1969 Allied
Radio Corp catalogue, the TD-1030 was described as “… a spectacular
value”
This was a four-track stereo tape deck taking
7″ reels and offering three speeds: 7½ , 3¾ and 1
ips.  Two VU meters were provided for record level indication and
transport functions were selected via a five position function control
knob (similar to those found on Sony’s) .  The recording controls
and microphone inputs were hidden under a hinged panel at the lower front,
also reminiscent of Sony.
Price when new: US$ 135.00 with a pair of Allied
4525 Dynamic microphones in a padded case thrown in for an extra $4.00.
Additional images of this recorder are supplied
on the Get Reel Contemporary Classics CD-ROM.
