Description
Featured in the 1969 Allied
Radio Corp catalogue the TR-1035 was described as “… a feature-packed
solid-state stereo tape recorder with built-in speakers …”
This was a four-track stereo machine taking
7″ reels and offering three speeds: 7½ , 3¾ and 1
ips. Two large VU meters were provided for record level indication
and a large single knob function switch on the right just below the take-up
reel took care of all tape transport operations.
The machine had automatic tape-lifters for fast
forward and rewind as well as auto-shut-off at the end of the tape. The
stereo amplifier delivered five watts output power into two wide-range
internal speakers.
Additional images of this recorder are supplied
on the Get Reel Contemporary Classics CD-ROM.
