Description

The highest end Braun tape recorder made, this routinely sells for fairly significant sums and was designed like all the other Braun tape recorders, by Dieter Rams.
In the Braun brochure, they suggested that there is a method to keep the pressure of the tape on the head constant, where normally the tape pull changes with the amount of tape in the take-up reel. Head wear increases as you get to the end of the reel, but they have solved this. Electromechanical braking was used.
Modular in construction, it is relatively easy to service.
