A six-head, bi-directional quarter-track stereo tape deck with three motors (one 2-speed 4-pole/8-pole
hysteresis synchronous capstan drive and two 6-pole induction reel motors).
The rugged transport featured central capstan drive, built-in reel holders and turntable height adjustment and reels up to 7″ could be accommodated.
Transport operation was via computer-controlled solenoid push-button controls.
