Description
A two speed deck with glass& crystal (GX) ferrite heads, three motor direct capstan drive with IC logic transport operation, full auto-reverse, and a 7″ reel capacity. Other features included MIC-LINE mixing, variable audio output, 2 positions BIAS-EQ tape select switch and direct ‘off-tape’ A/B monitoring. Similar in appearance to the GX-270D the GX-265D had a 6 head system but with 4 physical heads (combo erase and combo record plus twin playback heads).
Wow and flutter were less than 0.09% at 7½ ips and a signal to noise ratio of better than 50 dB was quoted.
