Description
The Telefunken M12 was a versatile professional machine, available in a multitude of configurations. These included with or without input mixer, full, half or stereo heads (on a removable head block) and high speed (15 & 7½ ips) or low speed (7½ & 3¾ ips).
The transport was constructed on a very strong cast alloy frame of half-inch thickness. Three motors were used, a synchronous pole-changeable indirect capstan motor and two PAPST outer rotor motors. Reels of up to 10½ inches could be accommodated.
