Similar to the TK 120, the TK125 was a budget, single speed (3¾ ips), half-track mono recorder with a single two-pole motor, two heads and a 5¾ inch maximum reel size.
The main difference between the two models was with the record mode selector. The TK 120 simply had an automatic/manual switch, whereas the TK125 had selections for automatic speech, automatic music, manual and ‘trick’ (sound-on-sound)
A single mode selector was employed with a record safety interlock.
