Description
The TK 30 and 35 models were first released in 1958, the major difference between them being that the TK 30 had two speeds, 7½ and 3¾ ips and the TK 35 had a third speed of 1 7/8 ips.
Both were half-track mono machines, featuring automatic stop, sound on sound (erase cut-out), up to seven inch reel capability and of course full valve circuitry (plus 3 metal rectifiers).
An EM 84 ribbon-type magic eye was provided for record level modulation.
Facilities were provided for the attachment of a remote control (stop and start only – this was the late fifties don’t forget!)
Priced in the United Kingdom at 75 guineas, (TK-35) some of the optional extras included a Grundig 4-channel mixer (16 guineas), condenser microphone (6 guineas) and a telephone adaptor (3 guineas).
