Description
The RT-1020L was introduced in 1973 and was Pioneer’s top-of-the-line open reel deck that year.
It was a three head (hyperbolic), three-motor, two and four track stereo tape deck with a 4 channel quadraphonic playback option. A three position bias-selector and two position equalization-selector ensured optimum reproduction of low-noise/high-output tape. Independent MIC and LINE record level adjustment allowed input mixing. Two speeds (7½ and 3¾ ips) were provided and up to 10½ ” reels could be accommodated.
