Description

The T 8800 was a stereo quarter-track tape deck with speeds of 7½ and 3¾ ips and a maximum reel size of 7″.
It was a deluxe version of the cheaper T 6600, but with two sets of three heads, erase, record and playback for each direction. With its two motors It could automatically reverse on both playback and record.
Other features included input mixing, DIN replay characteristics, superimpose, off-tape monitoring, parallel track replay and record bias switch.
An optional remote control was available.
