Description
The TK230-S was a totally self-contained stereo tape recorder contained in a case not much bigger than that of an orthodox mono recorder of the same
period. The economy of space was achieved mainly by the use of transistors in the input stages and double/triple purposes tubes in the intermediate
and output stages. A single heavy-duty motor provided all transport functions.
The TK230-S had two tape speeds (7½ & 3¾ ips) and 7″ inch reels could be accommodated.
Other features included rotating outer tape guides, a felt tape-cleaning pad which was activated during rewind and a pressure-operated auto-stop.
