Description

The mid-priced, consumer
level Sony TC 222A was a half-track AC/DC mono recorder with two speeds
( 3¾ and 1
ips) and a 5″ reel capacity.
Features included hide-away handle, ‘Sonymatic’ automatic recording level
(with manual over-ride), VU meter, servo-controlled motor for accurate
tape speed, in-built battery charging circuit, monitor speaker and a PA
facility (this would probably only be useful in small bathrooms)!
Priced at $US $99.50 complete with remote stop/start dynamic microphone
and earphone, accessories included BP-8 rechargeable battery pack ($14.95).
FS-5 foot switch ($7.95). VCF-85 voice-command microphone ($22) LC-2 vinyl
carry bag ($9.95), RK-66 magnetic cartridge phono adapter ($2.95) and
TP-4S Telephone pick-up ($3.50).
