Description

The Sony TC-765 was a 3 head, quarter-track, consumer version of the semi-professional half-track TC 766-2 and as such, did not have the higher speed of 15 ips. The TC 765 runs at 3¾ & 7½ ips  powered by an AC servo controlled motor in a closed-loop dual-capstan drive.
Features included three heads, three motors, logic control,  and an optional RM-30 remote control. Switching was provided for selecting low, medium and high bias, and different tape types, normal, special, FeCr etc.

Available in Japan one year earlier than the North American market the 100v Model was called the Sony TC-R-6
