Description

This very unusual device was much like the English-designed Gramdeck, but pre-dated it by about 6 years.
Having no motor, the recorder was designed to sit on top of a gramophone turntable which then provided the rotational drive for the capstan.
A separate power unit supplied the necessary circuitry for bias and erase current, as well as record and playback preamplifiers.
A playback frequency of  40 – 7kHz wa claimed and a tape speed of 7½ ips was derived from a turntable speed of 78RPM.
Price when new (in Austria) was 1340 Schillings.

Valve & semiconductor complement: 6AU6, 6AT6, 6AQ5 & 6X4 / Bias frequency: 55kHz / full-track mono record & playback
