Description

The 1600X was a fully transistorised stereo tape deck with the cross-field bias system. Features included three speeds, 7½ , 3¾ , and 1 ips. 7″ reel capacity and the ubiquitous Tandberg joystick control. A double VU meter with indirect illumination was provided for record level indication and there was a four-digit revolution
counter (also indirectly illuminated). Accessories included a leather case and smoked perspex cover (see images, lower right).
