Description

The quarter-track stereo M204E had all of its controls situated on the deck, including input and output sockets, the rusult being that it could operate vertically, sideways, flat etc.
Other features included push-button operation, separate and individual volume, tone and record level controls, metal-foil
activated auto-stop and a track selector with multi and synchro-play on the one centrally located knob situated on top of the head cover. Two speeds (3¾ and 7½ ips) were provided, the latter giving an overall frequency response of 40Hz – 18kHz. Power output was 6 watts per channel (push-pull) with two side-facing speakers fitted into the cabinet. The unit was fully transistorized and was priced at £111 in the UK.
