Description

What was surely intended is a studio and broadcast machine, the Telefunken T9 had a maximum reel size of 11 inches and was available in the following configurations…

The Magnetophon T9A which had speeds of 15 ips and 7½ ips, and the T9U which played at 30 ips & 15 ips. Frequency response was quoted at 40Hz – 15kHz at 15 ips and 40Hz – 10kHz at 7½ ips and three motors were used in the transport.
From what little information is available about this machine it would appear that V72, V86 + V87 preamps were used with the transport.
