Additional Details

Description

Based on the more sophisticated Model B4 (considered by most Czech tape recordists of the mid 1960s to be the best ever produced in their homeland), the B41 & B42 (pictured) were more spartan and much simpler machines.
Where the B4 featured three speeds, these were single speed, mono recorders (B41 half-track and B42 quarter-track). Missing too were the tape counter and super-imposition features.
This simplification of design and the fact that very large numbers of these recorders were produced led to a very low purchase price.
