Description

Both the VR4 and VR7 were relatively unsuccessful commercially, the market now being dominated by stereo recorders and cassette recorders.
In 1967 Mike Van der Molen turned his attention to a new cassette recorder and the remaining VR4 and VR7 machines were sold off as transport decks only for hobbyists and tape recorder constructors.
These were normally fitted with quarter-track record/playback and ferrite erase heads and sold for £15 15s.
