Description

This was the very first reel to reel recorder that Bang & Olufsen produced. Prior to this they had made a couple of wire recorders which met with moderate success, but now it was time to try and make a recorder that used magnetic tape.

Not much is known about this machine because of its rarity – being very expensive, there were not many people who could afford to buy one.

In the early 1950s, Denmark was (electrically) divided in two parts: the major part had AC voltage but most of the smaller islands and a number of small villages still used DC.
