A
press release from March 1963 is the source for the following information:
A new four-track, four-speed tape recorder has
been introduced by Cossor to replace the successful model CR1601. Designated
model CR1605, the new machine has many advances over its predecessor,
notably the all-transistor amplifier and the fourth speed.
A newly designed deck-layout has also been used
for this machine with clear labeling of all the controls.
