Description

The ‘Studio’ TS 340 Hi Fi Stereo was a quarter-track stereo recorder with separate record and playback heads.
It operated at 7½, 3¾ and 17/8 ips with 8 watts per channel amplifiers that could be used as a public
address system. Side facing loudspeakers were incorporated into the cabinet.
This deck uses tubes in the preamp section and transistors in the amplifier. 2 x EF86, 2 x ECC81, 1 x EL95, 1 x EM84

The TS 340 was finished in charcoal and ivory with a walnut case and hinged perspex lid. An alternative (and less expensive) model, the TK 340 was identical to the TS but without the perspex lid and walnut case.
This was not a cheap machine, costing more than a Revox G36/736
