Description

Subtitled the
“COMPUTOR-MATIC” this was an auto-reverse recorder with
dual capstan and dual motor drive. It could play as a regular tape recorder
and reverse (playing side two) at the touch of a switch or auto-reverse
at the end of a side via means of a metal foil on the tape.
The RK-960 was a quarter-track stereo machine with three
speeds, four heads and a solid state amplifier delivering 12 watts music
power. Other features included two self-contained 5 x 7′ wide-range hi-fi
speakers, feather-touch solenoid operated controls, sound on sound and
sound with sound.
