Description

The first of two very similar tape recorders out of the gate for Pioneer, the RT-701 was a solidly built machine that over the years has developed a reputation for reliability, much like the RT-707.
With its unique dimensions and appearance, Pioneer must’ve sense that they were onto a winner and between these two models, sold thousands of tape recorders worldwide over many years,  with the 707 being the front runner. The RT-701 is a rack-mountable stereo four-track tape deck with three motors and a pitch controllable AC Servo Direct Drive capstan motor.
