Description
An automatic reversing half-track mono recorder with impressive specifications and features for its time. Some of these included three-way mixing facilities, bass and treble lift and cut with independent controls, remote control facilities, high quality 2-way speaker system, a push-pull oscillator for noise and hum suppression and a frequency response of 30Hz to 12kHz 3dB
at 7½ ips.
A ‘magic eye’ cathode ray tube was used to display recording level – this can be seen in the picture at left at the front right hand side of the speaker grille beneath the power light.
