Description

The Sony TC-756-2 was the 2 track version of the 756 and similar to the 758 which followed it. Logic controlled transport functions, which were relatively new at the time and a very efficient transport that utilized an AC servo control capstan motor and eight-pole induction motors for the reels. Great specifications but it wasn’t a great success for Sony, possibly because it wasn’t quite up to speed with the big boy mastering machines and your average consumer at the time was more quarter track oriented.
